An accent wall completes the challenge.
Galina selected an accent wall in the midst of the room, added wall moldings from Lowe’s, and painted the wall and moldings with Farrow & Ball’s Hague Blue, an indigo blue shade that helps the mantel pop.
“The fireside creates the sense of a classy life each day. I really feel like I’m at a wealthy Parisian home,” Galina says. “I also can show my favourite mixture of classic and fashionable decor items like candlesticks, artwork, ceramics, [and] flowers.”
“Don’t be afraid to strive a sophisticated challenge like this. If you happen to actually have a imaginative and prescient and wish it, it’s going to come true,” she says.
