Alongside the sound of holiday makers, a generative soundtrack performs softly via hidden audio system in pipes. Constructed from a library of vowels and consonants which are widespread throughout international languages, the sounds are composed in a method that typically resembles spoken language. ‘It might really feel acquainted, such as you’re listening to a language , although it’s from nowhere specifically,’ explains Suzuki.

Conceptually, the Tokyo-born Margate-based sound designer was impressed by utopian architectural visions, notably Walt Disney’s authentic plan for EPCOT (Experimental Prototype Neighborhood of Tomorrow). ‘EPCOT was imagined not as a theme park, however as an actual, functioning metropolis the place innovation and collaboration may form a greater future,’ he explains. ‘In an analogous spirit, Utooto invitations guests to assemble their very own prototypes of a utopia – not from concrete or metal, however from sound, construction, and collective creativeness.’
