Our problem was to create an expertise in accordance with the spirit and character of Baovan, a model linked to the ocean and with a really particular model declare “Beers, seaside, and baos”. Our objective was to move the consumer to a seaside from the place to look at the sundown and luxuriate in some handmade baos, so we created an entire expertise round it.
We divide the house into three distinct areas that the consumer discovers as she or he enters the house. From the surface we uncover “the forest”, a porch filled with ropes that fall from the ceiling representing a dense vegetation. As soon as the consumer crosses the forest, he discovers the seaside and its sundown. A display within the form of a half-moon attracts the consumer’s eyes.
This display programmed by Vitamin Studio recreates the colours of a sundown and is programmed to match its length to dinner service. The inside reveals a continuing duality of colours that takes us out and in of the water. On the ceiling, we recreate a blanket of clouds that brings a magical environment to the inside reflecting the lights of the sundown that’s in fixed motion. Baovan hides yet another space, a reserved space for 10 individuals the place you’ll be able to have dinner within the moonlight.
Spherical and crescent shapes are repeated all through the house impressed by the form of the bao bread. From the home windows that join the outside to the inside, to the lighting set up, to the Baovan chairs designed solely for the restaurant that represents the form of an open bao bread.
