Design agency Formafantasma has created the Biodiversity Island which is outlined by its sequence of hole pillars constituted of terracotta to create shelter for birds and bugs. It surrounds the backyard nestled in a winery in Champagne, France. There are 74 pillars which are created at numerous heights all through the house.

The co-founder of Formafantasma, Simone Farresin shares with Dezeen, “The Biodiversity Island is a plot of land the place we launched particular sorts of vegetation to assist the bugs and the animals residing within the space that inevitably wrestle as a result of every part is cultivated. The pillars’ interiors differ in design to draw completely different wildlife akin to birds, bugs and bats.
