It’s some of the emblematic pictures of California modernism ever taken: a black-and-white picture depicting a glowing glass, cantilevered quantity jutting out of the Hollywood Hills. The picture, captured in 1960 by architectural photographer Julius Schulman, without end immortalised Case Research Home #22, a putting residence designed by architect Pierre Koenig constructed for shoppers Buck and Carlotta Stahl. The home has remained in household fingers ever since.
