Enter Kvadrat’s textile forest, impressed by the Nordic panorama

Patricia Urquiola’s Studio Urquiola has teamed up with Copenhagen-based design agency Tableau to current a brand new textile assortment for Kvadrat. Unveiled to coincide with Chart 2025 (28-31 August), Copenhagen’s modern artwork honest, the textiles are impressed by forestry and nature within the Nordic area.

Designed by Studio Urquiola for Kvadrat, the gathering, ‘In Nature We Belief’, is rooted within the kind and color of the pure setting. It’s being introduced initially through an set up by Tableau at Kvadrat’s Copenhagen showroom – forward of an autumn launch – which sees the materials draped like a cover and wrapped round tree branches and furnishings alike to create an immersive textile forest for guests to discover.

Coupled with the whimsical set up is a dreamy tablescape, additionally staged by Tableau (whose previous tasks embrace the design of a psychological well being area in Copenhagen and bringing a Poul Gernes flower lamp to life). Every object, from vases to fruit and plates, can also be enveloped within the new textile vary.

Delicate bark-like striations are woven into the set up design, whereas the gentle tonal color palette – from deep blues and olive greens via to heat oranges and lilacs – makes a chic feast for the eyes.

Urquiola has collaborated with Kvadrat since 2013 and launched a number of textiles, together with the world’s first upholstery textile fabricated from 100 per cent ocean-bound plastic (which received a Wallpaper* Design Award in 2024).
