Hermès Tressages Equestres weaves the Maison’s iconic motifs on porcelain

The Hermès Tressages Equestres assortment was unveiled throughout Paris Design Week 2024 and contains 27 items whose design was created by artist Virginie Jamin and curated by Benoit Pierre Emery, artistic director of La Desk Hermès. Comprising cups and plates in addition to hollowware, the collection is outlined by a motif that weaves collectively the maison’s most distinctive themes, from the handmade nature of its items to its equestrian heritage.

The gathering encompasses a kaolin white background (a Hermès traditional) that acts as a canvas for a daring but discreet collection of patterns encircling each bit, impressed by the braiding and passementerie present in harnesses – a nod to the historical past of Hermès, initially began as a harness workshop in Nineteenth-century Paris.
