British designer Kim Jones is to exit his position as creative director of womenswear and couture at Italian home Fendi, it has been introduced this afternoon (11 October 2024). He’s set to proceed as creative director of Dior Males, one other home within the LVMH secure, the assertion confirmed.

Jones started his tenure at Fendi in 2020, filling the position which had been vacant after the demise of Karl Lagerfeld in February 2019. His collections for Fendi reimagined the home’s Roman roots within the designer’s glossy, modern type, whereas references to his personal fixations – amongst them the work of the Bloomsbury group – had been woven all through. Within the assertion, Fendi says he was ‘guided by ardour and creativity… always renewing the home’s codes’.
