A Kings Cross collective

In Kings Cross, Retailer Retailer is a collective of artists, architects and designers who yearly run an academic programme of artwork and design programs in close by faculties. At London Design Pageant, they current ‘This Bench Has Legs’, the results of a workshop with designer Attua Aparicio that includes a bench made with waste supplies.

A Hyde Park home name
This morning, we popped into this Hyde Park townhouse for The Objects We Stay By, ceramicist Emma Louise Payne’s group exhibition. The work of seven design studios working throughout a wide range of media – from textile studio Granite and Smoke to furnishings designer Brogan Cox’s collaboration with marbled wallpaper specialist Nat Maks, glassware by Collect Glass and ceramics by Payne herself. The objects are discreetly positioned throughout the material of the house, from the kitchen to the bedrooms, providing an intimate dimension to the design discovery.

Lee Broom illuminates The South Financial institution
Lee Broom unveiled his London Design Pageant fee, Beacon, an enormous chandelier propped on the Southbank, its design paying homage to Brutalist and Modernist neighbours Hayward Gallery and Royal Pageant Corridor. RB.
