Pedro Ramírez Vàzquez’s house in Mexico Metropolis is the backdrop for Nilufar’s modern design exhibition

Nilufar takes over the house of Pedro Ramírez Vàzquez, in Mexico Metropolis, for a design showcase in collaboration with rug firm cc-tapis and Mexican design retailer Studio 84, which makes its debut with this venture. Staged throughout Mexico Metropolis’s Artwork Week 2024, the exhibition is a show of gallery founder Nina Yashar’s Open Version venture, a curated choice of modern furnishings, objects and artworks that the gallery launched in 2023.

A key determine of Mexican structure and tradition, Ramírez Vásquez (1919-2013) was a modernist architect whose influence on Mexico Metropolis and past included iconic business, residential and public buildings. Amongst Nilufar’s alternatives is the ‘Necklace’ ceiling glass lamp by Analogia Venture, ‘Piero’ wall lamps by Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt, 3D-printed objects by Dutch artist Audrey Massive, vases by Sophie Dries and a choice of modular items by Lebanese studio David/Nicolas.

All through the home, the design collections are accompanied by a collection of distinctive rug designs created for cc-tapis by British designer Bethan Laura Wooden.
