‘Being the type of baby that daydreams on a regular basis, relying on the place you’re daydreaming and what you are doing, can decide whether or not you’re seen as an excellent pupil, or as a difficult pupil, or as a baby with plenty of creativeness,’ says Pharrell Williams.
We’re talking over Zoom to mark the start of his collaboration with Lego, a partnership which kicks off with new Lego set, Over the Moon, a taster earlier than the discharge of his upcoming characteristic movie Piece by Piece, Williams’ autobiography advised via the medium of Lego.

The three-part Lego set encompasses an area shuttle, jet stream and the widest vary but of customisable minifigure pores and skin tones. ‘The movie is an animated documentary, simply made a lot extra vibrant in Lego. It was my thought, and I went to [director] Morgan Neville, as a result of his storytelling is so masterful, and I would be so fortunate for him to do one thing with me. He mentioned sure. And I mentioned, however I wish to do it in Lego. And he mentioned, positive. After which he and I went and sat down with Lego, and so they mentioned, positive, and so did Focus Options and Common Photos. So this animated documentary slash biopic is the sum of plenty of yeses. I am simply very grateful as a result of we’re doing the inconceivable.’
