Pierre Yovanovitch opens a house in New York

The acclaimed French inside designer Pierre Yovanovitch has opened his first American gallery area in New York Metropolis. Situated on the penthouse flooring of a pre-war constructing in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighbourhood, Yovanovitch’s New York perch boasts a rooftop terrace and a sprawling open-plan format. Alongside his personal collections of furnishings and lighting, Yovanovitch had curated a number of artworks from names equivalent to Camille Henrot, Wolfgang Tillmans and Alicjia Kwade, forming superbly immersive vignettes that showcase his tasteful eye and aesthetic.

‘We needed an area, which was not on the road stage and that had nice pure gentle and a residential really feel to it. It felt becoming that the works be displayed in a home-like setting, so guests can get a robust really feel for a way the items would look of their area,’ says Yovanovitch. ‘I needed to create an setting that was actually reflective of my inside design method. With over 10,000 sq. toes at his disposal, Yovanovitch has utilized the area to mark different firsts.
