Suppose Moncler is nearly winterwear? Suppose once more

This previous April, at Milan Design Week 2026, onlookers hovered outdoors of 10 Corso Como, the place an infinite octopus – paying homage to blow-up pool toys – had stretched its tentacles across the façade of the Carla Sozzani-founded idea retailer.

One of many week’s extra memorable sights, it heralded the arrival of Moncler’s summer season assortment, which runs with the tagline ‘Have a Puffy Summer time’. Certainly, these inflatable animals (in varied sizes) popped up the world over, from London’s Bond Road retailer to a pop-up in Seoul.

Moncler is making its transfer on summer season

The concept was to speak that, regardless of its synonymy with winter and winter sports activities – it was based to outfit climbers within the Alpine village of Monestier-de-Clermont, France, in 1952 – that Moncler can also be adept at creating summertime apparel, albeit in lighter layers.

Taking the ‘puffiness’ which defines Moncler’s signature quilted and down jackets, the gathering reimagines these protecting layers in new featherweight iterations – whether or not ‘pillowy, multi-dimensional, light-as-air outerwear’ or items designed to be layered (or, in some instances, pre-layered, like one prime that provides the phantasm of carrying a T-shirt over a shirt).
